General Guideline for Everest Base Camp Trekking in Nepal

Among them the famous is Everest Base Camp Trek.
The trekking takes to Khumbu region passing through prominent Sherpa villages,

and kalapatthar.

in the world.

1. Choosing right time / Season


We experiences major for season in Nepal throughout the year.
They are summer (JUNE – AUGUST), Winter (DECEMBER – FEBRUARY),
spring (MARCH TO MAY), and autumn (SEPTEMBER – MID DECEMBER).
Choosing a right season is important to make your adventure pleasant.
There are two major season’s spring and autumn are the best for trekking in Nepal.
The weather during spring and autumn are fantastic and temperatures during
these seasons hover on average degrees and very little change of rain.
As a result you will get cleat views of mountains and lush alpine forest in Everest region.
Spring and autumn both are peak trekking season in Everest where thousands of trekkers
visit Everest Base, Kalapattar, Gokyo Ri, Cho La Pass and others.

2. Mentally and Physically Prepare


Everest base Camp trekking is a moderate walk through the foothill of world famous
trail to Mt. Everest. It is not  technical climb, you do not need to have previous
experience even any altitude experiences to complete the trek
. However, you have to physically fit and excellent strength, conditioning
and endurance to be able to reach the destination.
So, we recommended to do some some walk, cycling and other physical exercise
before coming Everest base camp trekking. Normally you must capable
for 6/7 hours walking each days during the trek.
With the physical fitness, mentally prepare is also important for outdoors.
Because there are no star levels hotels for your comfortable.
You have to adjust local tea houses and eat the foods which are available in tea houses.
So you do need to be prepared yourself for these things.

3. Choosing the right trekking gear


As we already told you Everest base camp is a moderate trek in Nepal.
However, to complete the successfully right trekking equipment are most important.
Among trekking gears proper hiking boots, a good down Jackets are most significant.
Other gears besides are warm clothes, hiking poles, sun hat, Sunglass, gloves,
comfortable trousers, warm sleeping bag are also important to have a successful
and pleasant trekking to EBC.

4. Pack as light as Possible


During 15 Days Everest base Camp trekking you need lots of things for daily uses.
Although while trekking it is advice pack as light as possible.
Only pack the absolute necessary items is best way for trekking.
You will be provided porters to carry your luggage but they are capable of
carrying about 10 to 12 KG per trekkers as well carrying heavily back-packs
uphill in the mountain will be difficult for the porters.
Also the starting and ending of the trekking you have to use flight of Kathmandu Lukla
where only 15 Kg weight is allowed including your hand luggage.
So, pack light is best during your trekking to Everest base Camp.

5. Beware of Altitude sickness


While trekking in high altitude, some people might suffer from altitude sickness.
Normally altitude sickness occurs when your body do not adjust in high elevation
where the oxygen level is very low.
Symptoms of altitude sickness includes headache, vomiting, loss of sleep etc.
If you get such Symptoms then you have immediately consult with your guide.

Drinking lots of waters, eating full will also help to avoid the change of sickness in mountains.
If you feel such sickness you can use medicine like Diamox which can
avoid sickness and help to go high elevation.
When you are going up don’t skip acclimatization because slowly
and proper acclimatization adjust your body in high altitude.
